The year 2015 has been a special year for EatAbout - it has seen our inception, lots of happy customers and chefs, and the growth of our team to six strong.
We've worked incredibly diligently and hard to get where we are in just 3 months, and I'm proud of our team for dedicating countless hours to make our dream a reality.
A post like this wouldn't be complete without reminiscing on the hard times too - I'm a firm believer that what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger. From getting rejected by different stakeholders and figuring out how we're going to pay our rent as we put all our money into EatAbout, to long hours and pushing hard to build our tech on a timeline that some might consider absurd, we've been through thick and thin.
With that said, it's been an incredibly fun ride so far, and we're ready for more. Tough times have made us even more creative - turning rejections into yes's, solving tough technical problems and covering our own rent by hosting people for meals on EatAbout.
We've met some fantastic people along the way that have helped us get where we are. We're immensely grateful to these people, in no particular order:
Natalie de Luca - for believing in us from the very start and helping with great marketing ideas! You're seriously missing out if you haven't read her blog on great places in South London.
Craig Priestley - for being an early believer and booking our very first corporate meal.
Venise Dacla - for hosting the first ever EatAbout meal and providing great feedback on the chef experience.
Nadine Kopty - for contributing with stellar blog posts on making your own simmer pots and making a delicious gluten and dairy free chocolate cake.
Arman Amini - for helping us with brainstorming and design decisions!
With that, the team here at EatAbout wishes you a Happy New Year, and we look forward to hosting you for a meal in 2016!
